Thinking Affirmations
Affirmations are a powerful tool that can create long lasting changes.
But to get the full benefit of affirmations they have to meet certain
criteria.
Unfortunately
most people think they can simply work with affirmations when things
go wrong. That by saying a few affirmations every once in a while
they'll be able to create the changes they want and enjoy the success
they want. Then when things don't work out they blame the affirmations
- saying they don't work.
This
is not the way to work with affirmations.
Affirmations
can take time to work. It can take years to see the results of saying
an affirmation repeatedly. Sometimes it will take longer if the affirmations
are not formatted correctly.
Effective
affirmations have to be postive, they have to be in the present tense,
they have to be focused on what you want - not what you don't want.
And you have to say them repeatedly, you have to say them as often
as you can when ever you can.
Saying
an affirmation once in the morning and once in the evening is pointless.
For
any affirmations to take hold and lead to changes they have to become
a part of your everyday thought process. So that your thoughts reflect
your affirmations and your positive affirmations reflect your thoughts.
Keep
your affirmations positive. An affirmations that says "I don't
struggle with mone" is not efffective because it focuses on what
you don't want - which is struggle. You'll likely end up attracting
more struggle. Instead the affirmation should say - "I'm very
good with money" or what you want.
So
think about what you want and then create affirmations that reflect
what you want.
Affirmations
have been around a very long time and they can lead to some powerful
changes so make sure you create the right kind of affirmations.
Affirmations
that are hard to remember are not very effective and won't have the
positive impact that you want. How can they if you can't remember
them? So create positive affirmations that are easy to remember and
that you can apply everyday.
Try
to avoid affirmations from a book as these are often long winded and
won't always target the outcome that you want.
